Get ready, Pickle-Ballers, and Pickle-Ball  beginners…

The courts are open behind the clubhouse and we have scheduled a Pickleball–tournament to be held on Sunday, July 23. We will add it to the GSYC calendar too in “Events” on the GSYC.org website.

But don’t sweat it, we are giving everyone a chance to learn, and/or improve their court skills with a Clinic so everyone has a chance to win the big prizes.  (More to follow on that later)

1. The first Clinic is scheduled for Sunday, June 25 at 11:00 AM.  Dave Klein will give us basic skills training and warm up play.
2. With the second Clinic,  scheduled for Sunday, July 2, at 10:00 AM, Ken Marsh will again coach us on the game terminology, objectives and tactical execution at a higher beginner/intermediate level.

For Both Clinics please bring:

        ◦      A Pickleball paddle and balls

        ◦      Comfortable clothing and sneakers

        ◦      Plenty of water to drink

        ◦      And your good humor for some fun in the sun

Pickle-Ball is the fastest growing sport in America with 8.9 million players.  So if interested, mark your calendars.  We will be meeting informally, at the courts Sunday mornings at 11:00 (after Father’s day) for practice and pick-up games for anyone who wants to learn and/or play.
