We are a member-owned and -operated private club for families, located on the west shore of Lake Hopatcong, offering recreational and social activities since 1949.  We take full advantage of the largest lake in New Jersey, well appointed clubhouse (with its living room, bar, dining room and dance floor, and locker rooms), Olympic-size heated pool, tennis courts, children’s playground, and docks for 55 boats.  Outstanding year-round activities include dinner and dancing, boating, sports, deck dining, all kinds of entertainment, lectures, and trips.  Although many of us do enjoy boating (motor and sail), boat ownership is not a necessity.  Members with boats are more than happy to take you out on the lake.  

The Club offers a full schedule of activities throughout the summer season, from Memorial Day to Labor Day.  We also have activities at our Clubhouse that take place all year long.

If you enjoy the company of warm, congenial, and caring friends, you will surely enjoy the Garden State Yacht Club.  We would be more than happy to explain the entire Club function and general operations to you.

We are currently accepting applications for membership.  As an added incentive, there are special dues pricing programs available.

We welcome your email inquiries, however, we do not email membership applications or dues information.  When you indicate your interest via email, we will request that you provide us with a contact phone number to set up an appointment to speak with a Membership Committee representative.  We will be happy to answer as many of your questions as possible over the phone.  The next step is to set a time to tour the GSYC at your convenience.  It is club policy for the Membership Committee to become acquainted with propective members prior to extending a membership application.
