Spring has arrived!

      Yes, spring is here, but Lake Hopatcong's low water level means dock assembly is delayed...   People are anxious for the day they can put their back boats in the water after the long winter hiatus.  Everyone is ready for longer days of blooming trees and shimmering shades of green.  More nighttime downpours would be the most welcome natural remedy for the situation.  Barring that, Lake Hopatcong boaters need to visit www.savelakehopatcong.org.  We need our New Jersey governmental representatives to know that lake water escaping over the Hopatcong State Park dam needs to decrease--not increase, so that  the water levels will return to normal.  Local lake area businesses need to stay in business and New Jersey residents want to have enough water to use our boats!

   Fortunately,  at the Garden StateYacht Club, the social events, swimming, tennis, shuffleboard and various midweek programs planned for the summer ahead will keep you coming back to Lake Hopatcong no matter what!
